Ownersbox DFS Review

OwnersBox features the four major North American Leagues - NFL, NHL, NBA, and MLB. While this may seem limited for some players, the four major leagues are likely to satisfy the majority of DFS enthusiasts and OwnersBox does an exceptional job when it comes to its gametypes and contests that are available for these sports. 

OwnersBox initially offered two game types, Lightning Lineups and Salary Caps, but a recently added third gametype, Player Picks is now available. What we really liked about the OwnersBox games is that all 3 games are easy to understand and lots of fun to partake in. We tested out the 3 contest types and we're excited to break it down for you because there is a lot to like about these games at OwnersBox. 

NEW: Player Picks - Just in time for NFL Season!

If you're familiar with other DFS sites, this is your classic Pick'Em head to head. In this contest type, you select two or more players and then choose whether each player will go "over" or "under" their projected outcome for a certain stat line (i.e. rushing yards, goals scored, 3 pointers made, etc.). You can choose players across different teams and sports. The more players you choose, the higher your potential payout. In order to receive a payout, all of your selections must be correct. However, if you are selecting 3 or more players, you have the option to "Protect your Picks". By choosing this option, even if one of your selections is incorrect, you still receive a partial payout. Although your maximum potential payout is less if you choose this form of insurance. 

Lightning Lineups

This OwnersBox exclusive is a unique take on DFS. In this contest type, you'll be presented with three options of three players each. Choose the team of three that you think will score the highest out of all three teams. If you don't like the options, you can "spin again" to generate new choices until you find a lineup that you like. Extra confident in your team? Add more teams to compete against to increase your payout. If your team wins out of a lineup of three, your payout is 2.25x. If your team wins out of a lineup of four, your payout increases to 3x. You can add up to 10 lineups to increase your payout to 6x. 

Salary Cap

Choose a Salary Cap contest from the game lobby for the sport of your choice. In this contest type, you'll be competing against other OwnersBox players. You'll be able to see when the contest starts and how many other players have entered. Begin by building your lineup but remember to stay within the salary cap. Unlike other DFS sites, at OwnersBox, you have the flexibility of a SuperFlex spot to help you build your roster. Once you've built your lineup, sit back and watch your team accumulate points!
