ProphetX Sportsbook Review

As ProphetX is newly launched, they are focusing on major sports leagues. You can find MLB, NFL, CFB, NHL, NBA, UFC, ATP, and more. As the site becomes more popular and attracts more players, you can expect to see the expansion into more sports and leagues. Due to the betting exchange model, you'll also be able to find lots of futures bets.

How does a Sports Betting Exchange work?

If you're new to sports betting exchanges, think of it like a marketplace where you can offer up a wager to all the other players and they can decide if they want to take the other side against you. Conversely, you can shop around the marketplace and see what other players are offering and decide if you'd like to take the other side.

Pros to betting exchanges:

• You can often find prices better than the typical sportsbook.
• Since the sportsbook has no risk involved in each bet, they don't take any juice or vig. If you win the bet, ProphetX takes a 3% cut on the winnings. 

Cons to betting exchanges:

• If no one takes the other side of your bet then it won't be filled
• The amount of activity on the site at any given time depends on how many and how active other players are

Prophet Boosts may be one of our favorite Prophet features that we found while testing out the site. This unique feature allows you to take advantage of the boosted bets at other sportsbooks by arbitraging and taking the other side on ProphetX. In the example above, DraftKings is offering a boost for either Derrick Henry or Travis Kelce to Score 1+ Touchdowns with +100 odds. You can see in the photo above that Prophet is offering the 'No' side at +186, a clear arbitrage opportunity!
