Understanding the Sweepstakes Model: Prophet Points vs Prophet Cash

Like other sweepstakes betting sites, ProphetX operates on two different virtual currencies: Prophet Points and Prophet Cash. You can easily toggle between playing with your Prophet Points and your Prophet Cash.

Prophet Points
Prophet Points hold no real monetary value outside of ProphetX but they can be used to wager on the site for fun. You can purchase additional Prophet Points through ProphetX to continue playing on the site.

Prophet Cash
Prophet Cash cannot be purchased directly however, it can be awarded as a bonus when purchasing certain packs of Prophet Points. Prophet Cash can also be used to wager on the site to win additional Prophet Cash. Unlike Prophet Points, Prophet Cash that has been won through playing on ProphetX can be redeemed for real prizes including USD. Prophet Boosts

Prophet Boosts may be one of our favorite Prophet features that we found while testing out the site. This unique feature allows you to take advantage of the boosted bets at other sportsbooks by arbitraging and taking the other side on ProphetX. In the example above, DraftKings is offering a boost for either Derrick Henry or Travis Kelce to Score 1+ Touchdowns with +100 odds. You can see in the photo above that Prophet is offering the 'No' side at +186, a clear arbitrage opportunity!

How does a Sports Betting Exchange work?

If you're new to sports betting exchanges, think of it like a marketplace where you can offer up a wager to all the other players and they can decide if they want to take the other side against you. Conversely, you can shop around the marketplace and see what other players are offering and decide if you'd like to take the other side.

Pros to betting exchanges:

You can often find prices better than the typical sportsbook.
Since the sportsbook has no risk involved in each bet, they don't take any juice or vig. If you win the bet, ProphetX takes a 3% cut on the winnings.

Cons to betting exchanges:

If no one takes the other side of your bet then it won't be filled
The amount of activity on the site at any given time depends on how many and how active other players are
